My First GameJam
This project was one of my earliest project and it was my first GameJam ever. We were a team of 4 people, I was the only designer and programmer of the team. My three colleagues were artists. In light of these constraints and the 48h period, we decided to go for a game with less coding and good, diversified art.

Design
Right at the beginning of the GameJam, we decided to go for small experience with simple gameplay. We opted for a vertical platformer were you have to escape a flaming spaceship. The player uses his jetpack to climb higher and higher passing through the 4 zones of the level to finally reach the exit. While the player tries to escape, a wall of flames follow the player and if he gets to sloppy the flames reach him and he dies. The player can collect gas cans that allows him to use a special booster.

Great learning experience
This project had a huge effect on my comprehension of the Unity Engine and C#. Being the only programmer I had to code everything from the character controller, UI to the all the integration of the art assets. Being the only designer, I had to take the time to balance the game values and create the level design. The combination of all these tasks under the time pressure of a GameJam put me under a lot of pressure and I learned that I can achieve high productivity under such condition. After 48H, the game was fully operational without having to pull any all nighters. Overall, I am really proud of this achievement and showed me that I had what it take to make videogames.
